There are some diaphragm switches that use pressure levels to turn the device on and off. As the water rises in the unit, air will be released through a vent tube and thus activating the switch. As the level drops, the air will be pulled back to turn off the device.

Those that could carry large capacities or horsepower would be best for bigger tasks. This must also be made out of stainless steel, sheet metal, cast iron and other materials. You may as well check its source of power if it uses gasoline, electricity, natural gas or diesel.
