The outer glass also must be wiped down as well. When cleaning the inside, you can use a paper towel or a cloth. Try not to use any chemicals or harsh soap. Those can make the pets ill or even cause death. If you are able use a products specifically for cleaning tanks. Also use plain tap water to clean the decorations thoroughly. Just remove and dirt and other particles.

After all thats done, you can place all the decorations back. Do not forget the aerator and heater. These shouldn't be connected to the power source yet. Use tap aqua and fill about till ninety percent full in the container. Do not place aqua that would be too cold or too hot. Try to make it the same temperature as it was before cleaning began. It will be easier for the creatures to adjust if it is the right temperature.

Some aquarium enthusiasts choose to add water salt and water conditioner. You can buy these at pet stores. These chemicals with specific instructions that ought to be followed. Add the precise amount so that you can help create the suitable surroundings. After that you can then return the sealife to their home.

When all that is done, you are now able to return the animals. They need a clean home but do not overdo it. Every other week is fine. Make sure to keep some of the old liquid. The filter should also be changed twice a month. This schedule would preserve the good bacteria and also it does not cause stress on the pets. Doing it too often could kill them.
