Some people have no idea of what to when they go on a mission. There is a lot of things they need to consider. Especially for people who have not tried before. You will be given some tips of what you could do once you get there. Make sure you fix your mind to be able to enjoy the trip. This is considered as the most rewarding job. Though, you do not give financial help. But the time and effort you put into it.
This opens you more opportunities to meet some friends and a chance to discover new cultures and a lot more. Uganda Missions are doing their best to reach out to people and offer them various services with the help of the people who are willing to help others. It is focused to knowing more about Jesus and strengthen your relationship with him. You could share your own story to everyone too.
The people in this place badly needs help. Since most of them lack the education. You teach them and not just offer financial help. But you help to distribute some foods to them, clothes and many more. The teachings about God is just part of it. It does not only allow you to learn more about God but you can be the instrument they will be the same.
Once you arrive there, the basic things that are used everyday must be taught to them. Because it is very useful and majority of them did not go to school.They do not undergo the proper training. Skills could be taught to them to be used for survival and be able to earn a living. Once they learn, they will stand on their own and would not rely from anyone anymore.
There should be a sustainable lifestyle, this would be a great sign. Since they will work hard on their own and will not ask help. Especially if you help build the self esteem and confidence. Some of them are afraid and would think they could not do it. You are there to give them the assurance that everything is going to be okay.
Just always forget to pray for guidance and perseverance. Nothing is impossible once your faith is strong. And you would survive whatever problems that come your way. Because you believe that there is always a solution to the problem. And this is what you wanted to impart to all the young children there. Organize them and let them form a group. And preach the word of God.
If you live in other countries, get ready with your passport and other documents for your travel. Everyone who will go on a mission, must be clear with their purpose. And should do something for their own protection. Like if they would be advised to have the flu shots, make sure you do it immediately before the schedule of your trip.
Anything can be possible. And no need to worry of money. When you have a big and loving heart, then go for it. You can any organization that has the same advocacy as you. Which is to help others and spread the teachings of Christ too. There is some people who will offer cash donations. The one who will give but it not going.
There is also a training. This will ensure that the one that is sent to the mission is the best one. And would be a great influence to others. Most of the work focused on preaching the kids and give them some information about anything.
