When you're having a busy day or just don't know what to do because there are too many things to do, try this exercise to stop the turmoil. It is one of the tricks to help you start to regain your work life balance. Stop and ask yourself what out of all the things I could do would make me feel the best right now? Sure you're answer maybe drop what you are doing and go sit on the beach and if that is possible it may be just the thing to do. But if that just isn't an option for you at that particular time what is? Read along to get Guidance to a better work life balance Stratford.

Since millions of people in the world use all of their resources to be exclusively one or the other, those of us who willingly choose to do both simultaneously are... Well... A bit of the "ambitious" sort. We had children because of a deep calling in our souls to become mothers, and yet we refuse to give up the fulfillment of making a difference in the world through our careers.

I was recently discussing this juggling act with a group of Entrepreneur-Mom clients, and the conversation quickly turned to life balance and those little pieces of guidance that we wish we'd known when we started. So here are 5 wonderful tips that I know can help you flourish both at work and home.

Don't compare yourself to others! Too often we look at those who are appear to be progressing further, harder, and faster (and all with such ease!) and deem ourselves to be falling short. But, what others "look" like on the outside, may not reflect what is really going on for them at all. It's important to remember that your circumstances are unique to you and so are theirs. No one else is juggling the exact tasks and conditions that you are - except you. So, acknowledge everything you are doing in your career and for your family, and don't judge your inside by anyone else's outside.

Have designated work hours and office (or area). The establishment of boundaries in this way is extremely important in order to maintain sanity. Make sure that there is direct communication about this with your family. This way everyone knows that during these specific times, or when you're physically in your office, you're working. You might try putting a friendly sign on the door to your office space that reminds your children when it's okay to walk on in and when it's not.

Be present! When you are in work mode, focus on the tasks at hand. Determine what you need to accomplish, and stick to your goals. Do not let your mind wander to what you "should" be doing around the house (or with the kids). And when you are in Mommy Mode, ensure to enjoy every minute with your family. Resist the temptation to think about work duties or situations.

So next time you feel pressure and strain or stress, ask your heart wisdom, what would feel best to do right now? Doing the hard stuff first can build pressure and resentment. When you do more of what you love you will be more effective and you will enjoy your life more. The result will be you will be happier and more successful.

Don't take it all too seriously. The life of an Entrepreneur-Mom is complex. Allow yourself to be imperfect. Be grateful for such a "full" life. Look for the positives in each day. And "raise a glass" sometime to celebrate all that you ARE. These are just a handful of suggestions that will assist you in successfully navigating the path of both Entrepreneur and Mom.
