It is not strange for people to lose focus on the goals at some point in their lives. Some give up their dreams while others still keep on fighting until they accomplish their aspirations. The latter leave legacies that live long after they are gone while the memories of the former soon vanish after their death. The good news is that as long as you have breath within you, you can still turn your life around and achieve various goals. Take some time alone and focus on life. You will need list down the dreams and aspirations you have. For example, when it comes family, write down how you want them to relate to them. Remember here the focus is not on others but on you. This is because you have no control over how people think or act. But you can master yourself.

Avoid focus on things that you have control over. For example, do not weigh yourself down because of the past or compare yourself with others. Everybody has their own race to run and if you focus on others, you will live a life of competition and miss out on your purpose. While they may be encouraged to make certain decisions, the responsibility to do or not to do certain things still remain with you. At this stage, it is important to beware of distractors. These could be friends, bad habits, laziness or even too much ambition. The moment you focus on these things, you risk falling to your former condition. Find ways to keep off these things even if it will require you to work with a life coach.

Do not be afraid to try new things or even be afraid of falling. This is because even failing is part of winning as you get to learn. However, always take actions that well thought over to avoid making obvious mistakes.

Moreover, build a network of like-minded individuals who you can share life stories with. These people will be a source of strength and encouragement when you are down. The will also help you stay strong and avoid sliding back to old habits.
