In advertising firms, one of the most important departments of all would be of course the media department. This department is very important because it is the department that would deal with the mediums in which they will be putting all of their advertisements. Of course one of the most crucial jobs of this department is none other than media buying new orleans.

Now the tasks that these buyers would have to do are not easy at all because they need to have a very deep understanding of how the media industry works. Now for those who do not know, the companies in this industry would sell airtime to clients or ad space wherein the clients will be able to put their ads. Now the middlemen between these companies and the clients would of course be the buyers.

Now in a nutshell, the buyers would have to make sure that they would get the best deals and prices from the companies in this industry. Now they are in charge of researching the kind of airtime that would be suitable for the ads of the client. Once they have done this, then they have to negotiate for the best deals.

Now when it comes to the planning process, one has to first know about the things that he will be buying. Now he has to first determine who the viewers of his campaign would be and which kind of medium to use. Now after he has already done this, then he must make a study on these viewers so that they would know how to make his move.

Now once the buyer has already determined who the target audience is, then the next thing that he should do is to look for patterns in their behavior. If he would observe their psychographic patterns, he will be able to know when these viewers will most likely look at ads. By knowing this, he will be able to know when to show the ad and how frequent he should show it.

From there, they can already decide also which forms would be suitable for the target audience. The four types that one would choose from would be the television, the newspaper, the radio, and of course the internet. The buyers are supposed to know the rates of each of these forms and create a budget and stick to that budget.

Now the next thing to do now after canvassing the rates would be to create the schedule which would already include the budget. The schedule is pretty much just a breakdown of all the types of mediums that are going to be used and how much. From there, one will be able to know how much he has to spend on the mediums.

Now after doing all these preparations, then of course one is now ready for the negotiations. Now negotiating is a little bit hard because one would need a little bit of skills in sales in order to get the best deals from the companies. He should be able to ask for discounts as well as some very good deals.
