Lets face it. There are moments in our lives when we feel like we are not doing anything good to make our situations better. Its like continually struggling against the strong current of the river to make sure we do not drown. The current represents all of our lifes struggles. And unless we take a momentary stop and examine what causes the commotion, we may find ourselves drowning sooner than later.
You can plan out however you want, execute it as fast as you dare. But the end will always remain uncertain. A good start does not guarantee a good end. My spiritual life journey has taught me a lot of things that went beyond what the society is teaching us. In fact, it allowed me to think beyond what people are considered as necessary and important.
Nurturing your spirituality is a need. Sadly, a lot of people, especially those who are busy hoarding wealth and earning money, do not see this importance. Unless one has this close relationship with God, he or she cannot expect to feel fully satisfied with what he has regardless of how much it is. Today, I will be sharing some of the ways that helped me in this daily journey. Take a look at them below.
Writing daily on a journal. This is not just the typical diary you keep where you rant about all the complains and wrongs you experience within the day. Its a journal of positivity where you acknowledge the presence of the negatives but focus more on the good.
Spending minutes in silence. There is no substitute to silence when it comes to communicating with God. It is a necessity. It is only through silence that you get to hear what He has to say. With the amount of noise we experience everyday, finding a silent place and time can be difficult. But if you practice it, the rewards can be great.
Thoughts of gratitude to start the day. Rather than locating your phone the first thing you wake up, why not try sitting down on bed, or lying down, or however you want to do it, and say thanks for the blessings that you have for the day. You will be surprised by how much this can make you feel better.
Thinking about the positive side of things. Bad things do happen. There is no denying that. They can come any time, anywhere. It is beyond your control. What you can control however is how you react on it. Instead of succumbing to the negative vibes, take a step back and hear what God is trying to tell you about it. How can this be better.
Reading the Bible everyday. You do not have to read a bulk in one go. Selecting a short excerpt per day is enough. This will make it easier for you to internalize it. Make it a habit and know God more. You can never develop your faith unless you know Him better.
Humans do not have the superpower to change the tide of everything. Sometimes, you need to accept the reality of the negative things in order to understand how you can address it best. Trust God for everything.
